Ashley has been a Licensed Social Worker for the past eleven years and obtained her clinical license in 2021. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Texas San Antonio and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Texas State University and is currently working on her TF-CBT and MBSR (mindfulness-based stress reduction) certifications.
She provides non-judgmental and empathetic therapy. She prefers taking a team approach with clients to assist them in achieving their goals, reducing stress, and feeling their best.
She uses a cognitive behavioral and person-centered approach. She is experienced with trauma, grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, and life changes. She uses and is versed in CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Meditation, and TF-CBT. She is a lifelong learner who enjoys learning about people and new innovative treatments to best help her clients.
She believes in the Fit Therapy holistic approach because it aligns with the biopsychosocial model she uses in social work. She knows and understands the importance of caring for your personal mental, physical, social, and spiritual health.
She initially became a LCSW because of her own positive and negative experiences with therapy. It is now her passion to provide the best possible support to her patients and help them in any way she can. She enjoys audiobooks and being outdoors with her family – hiking, camping, floating the river, and visiting the coast
