What is EMDR and How Can it Help You?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a proven, evidence-based therapy that helps people recover from trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, and negative life experiences.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR helps your brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer trigger emotional or physical distress.

Is EMDR Right for You?
-
You've experienced trauma or abuse
-
You're struggling with anxiety, panic, or PTSD
-
You feel "stuck" in patterns you can't talk your way out of
-
You want lasting emotional healing-not just coping tools

If any of this sounds like you, EMDR may be exactly what you need.
What to Expect in EMDR Therapy
Our EMDR therapists follow a clinically-proven 8-phase protocol:

-
History & Planning – We understand your past and set goals
-
Preparation – Learn tools to manage emotions and feel safe
-
Assessment – Identify the target memory and distress levels
-
Desensitization – Reprocess trauma with bilateral stimulation
-
Installation – Strengthen positive beliefs and new associations
-
Body Scan – Release lingering tension stored in the body
-
Closure – End each session with calm and emotional stability
-
Reevaluation – Track progress and adjust treatment

Each session is paced at your comfort level and supported by a therapist who listens, empowers, and guides you toward healing.
What Happens in an EMDR Session?
-
During your session, your therapist will help you identify the specific issue you'd like to address—whether it’s a traumatic memory, recurring anxiety, or a belief that’s holding you back.
-
While focusing on the most distressing elements of your memory (what you saw, felt, heard), your therapist guides you through bilateral stimulation—eye movements, tapping, or sound—while encouraging you to simply notice what arises.
-
You don’t have to force the process. Your brain knows how to heal—we’re here to support it.
-
Most clients leave each session feeling noticeably lighter, more grounded, and in control.
