Fitness Expert at Fit Therapy of Texas

_christian (4).png

Christian has a strong passion for fitness and health. He has two degrees in exercise science. A bachelor’s degree in exercise science and human performance, and a master’s degree in health and kinesiology. He is CPR certified, and wants to advance and continue his knowledge in various certification.

Not only does he have the education for fitness and health he has experience as a collegiate/professional athlete. Christian competed in the sport of swimming for nine years. During those nine years, he swam four as a college athlete, and one year as a professional. The sport of swimming taught him how to set goals, work hard, compete, patience’s, and have a strong passion. What Christian learned from swimming helps him be a better trainer and person when helping people reach their goals.

When it comes to knowledge and technique approaches, Christian brings a variety of knowledge and approaches to the table. When it comes to knowledge, he believes a client should understand and learn nutrition, physical well-being, and mental well-being. Christian wants to give the knowledge to clients that these three components are a lifestyle and they do not have an expiration date. When it comes to technique approaches, he believes a client should know proper form, why the exercise is important, modifications, and understanding different training methods. It is important to let the client know why they are doing these exercises and why it is beneficial for them. There is an exercise program for everyone it does not matter if the client is a beginner, intermediate, or advanced. It is also important to include different training methods such as strength training, conditioning, functional training, HIIT training, etc.

The main reason he decided to become a fitness and health expert is because of the coaches and strength coaches giving him the opportunity to compete and learn at the highest level. When Christian was born, he was born with a vision disability (no vision in left eye and low vision in right eye). He was always told “no” or “this is not for you” but that did not stop him. When he got into athletics, coaches and strength coaches gave him the opportunity to compete and learn from them. They wanted to accept the challenge. This is why he wants to help people and change their lives. Giving that person the opportunity to reach their goals and show them it is possible.

Christian has changed many lives during his fitness career. One client made dramatic changes during their time together. In the beginning, they had no mindset, did not feel challenged, and did not have the nutrition. Over time, the changes started happening. First, we set goals to reach. It was important to know why we set these goals. Secondly, we put a nutrition plan together slowly cut out the bad food and put in the good food. Over time, the client made it a habit to eat healthy. Finally, he wanted to challenge the client not just physically but mentally as well. This included challenging workouts, competing against the clock, or practicing mental training. Over time, the client got stronger mentally and could not wait for certain challenges.

When it does not come to training clients, he is a simple person. Christian's hobbies include working out, sports, movies, concerts, and hanging out with friends and family. His goals as a fitness expert is to give 100% each day at work, push clients physically and mentally, continue to learn from coworkers, and show clients that the impossible is just IMpossible.
