Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Jessica Macias is a San Antonio native. She lived in St. Louis, MO for 7 years where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work. St. Louis is where she began her professional career as a counselor, specifically a substance abuse counselor for adolescents. She has since earned her LCDC in 2017 and her LCSW in 2019. Jessica has professional experience in the school system, mental health agencies, and substance use treatment programs.
Jessica focuses on helping clients utilize their own innate and learned strengths to build a healthy present and future that may have once been thought to be out of reach. She strives to be compassionate and meet clients where they are at, as everyone's journey is different. Meeting clients where they are at is how she is able to focus on holistic treatment approaches. Everyone has the capacity for change and finding personal, sustainable ways to do so is the key to success. Jessica has training in Addiction and Recovery, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and is seeking her certification to be a Integrative Mental Health Practitioner. These disciplines are tailored to meet the different learning styles and personalities of each client.
Jessica likes spending her free time with her loved ones, playing sports such as volleyball and tennis, weight training, reading, sipping on a great cup of coffee, and most enjoyably traveling. She splurges on fantastic vacations once or twice a year.
