Frequently Asked Questions
1. What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a chance to talk about what’s going on and what you want to change. You don’t have to prepare anything or explain everything. We’ll listen, ask helpful questions, and start building a plan that feels right for you.
2. Do I have to talk about my past the whole time?
Not at all. We focus on what’s happening now and what you want your life to look like moving forward. If your past shows up in ways that matter, we’ll talk about it. But you’re always in control of what you share.
3. What kind of therapy do you use?
We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This means we’ll help you understand your patterns, take action when you feel stuck, and build on what’s already working in your life. You’ll walk away with practical tools, not just conversation.
4. How much does it cost?
Private pay rates are $160 for the first session and $120 for each ongoing session. We also accept Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. Our team will help verify your insurance before your first appointment.
5. I’ve never done therapy before. Is that okay?
Yes. Most of our clients are new to therapy. You don’t have to know what to say or what to do. We’ll guide you through it, keep it simple, and make sure you feel heard and supported from day one.
You’ve done it all alone long enough
