I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a background in leadership, performance, and life transition work. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and bring over 21 years of experience supporting individuals in high-pressure, high-responsibility environments.

My professional experience includes more than two decades in the U.S. Army in performance counseling, career development, and mentoring roles. I am also a husband of over 20 years, a father and stepfather, and a long-time coach and mentor to athletes across multiple sports. These experiences allow me to work confidently with individuals navigating stress, performance challenges, life transitions, and identity shifts, especially those accustomed to high expectations.

I use an integrative, solution-focused approach, drawing from evidence-based techniques and mindfulness-informed care. I tailor counseling to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, adjusting strategies as clients grow and progress.

I believe in a holistic approach to mental health that considers the whole person. This may include attention to movement, sleep, routines, and connection alongside traditional talk therapy. As part of the Fit Therapy team, my clients benefit from a collaborative, multidisciplinary model that supports both mental and physical well-being.

Outside of work, I am a combat veteran and military retiree who values staying active, paddleboarding, spending time with my family, and remaining connected to my community. I am committed to lifelong learning and plan to continue advancing my education and training to better serve my clients.

What Members Say

"I started working out with a trainer virtually a couple weeks ago & it has been awesome! Being a nurse AND being in school still, I have constantly made excuses for not having time to workout and eat healthy. At first, I started doing sessions after work when I was already worn out, but my trainer encouraged me to start waking up early and working out before I go to work. This has been a game changer for me & I no longer have excuses of not having time or being too tired because he has encouraged me to MAKE time! My trainer is so supportive & encouraging and I don’t think I would be able to get through some of the workouts if I was doing them on my own! The meal plan that was made for me was very simple and straight forward, which has made it so much easier for me to prep and to not make excuses and eat whatever is “easy” or whatever is “fast” while going to work and school. I highly recommend it here if you’re struggling to prioritize healthy habits and making excuses like I was. This is just the beginning and I can’t wait to see my progress!"-Ashley
