MEET STEPHANIE
Licensed Professional Counselor at Fit Therapy of Texas

My name is Stephanie, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University, followed by a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University.
I have a diverse background working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, Veterans, and families. I believe that counseling is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I tailor my approach to meet each individual’s unique needs and circumstances. My therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person-Centered Therapy.
I have experience working in both private practice and acute hospitalization settings, supporting individuals facing anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. I strongly believe that what works for one person may not work for another—and that is the beauty and uniqueness of the counseling process. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and validated as they navigate life’s challenges.
I am passionate about advocating for my clients and the community by serving as a facilitator for growth, healing, and positive change. I strive to empower individuals to overcome obstacles that interfere with pursuing their goals and living a productive, meaningful, and fulfilling life.
Outside of my work as a counselor, I prioritize self-care by spending time with family and friends, cooking, organizing and decorating, going for walks, playing board games, and traveling. I also enjoy a good cup of coffee, and whenever possible, relaxing by the beach or sitting by a wood-burning fire.
