The power of a vision

Every year, I schedule time to create a vision board for the next year. I do this in three easy steps.

Step 1: List your vision for the year

I spend most of my scheduled time writing out my goals (short term and long term) and how I plan to accomplish my goals.

Step 2: Find photos and words that capture your vision

This is my favorite part of this process. I flip through magazines and allow my creativity to go wild. It helps me best to have the most colorful and bright photos and words to keep me focused on my vision. In the event, I cannot find a word I’m looking for I write it out on a sticky note. Once you have all of your pictures and words to describe your vision, cut them out and glue to a poster board. There is no right or wrong way to do this.

Step 3: Hang your vision board

Find a place in your home to hang your vision board. Pick a place in your home that you will see it several times a day. I have found my bathroom to be the best place for my vision board. I make sure to review during my morning and nightly routines.

Creating a vision board is powerful as it will help you to remain focused on what is important to you in the new year.

If you decide to make a vision board in 2020, comment below if these steps were helpful as well as the vision you have set for yourself.

Wishing you much success in 2020!
