New Year’s is just around the corner. A fresh new start. New hopes and goals await. This is the year where you start putting yourself and your health first. If that is part of your New Year’s resolution, I am here to tell you why waiting to the New Year to get FIT and improve your health just isn’t a good plan.
I have been in the health and fitness industry going on 8 years now. I have been going to a gym for almost 20 years starting in middle school. I have seen the New Year’s crowd, especially at the big commercial gyms, come and go. I would even joke to other members who I see frequent the gym during my usual workout times that I can’t wait until after a month or so when the New Year’s crowd dies down, so I don’t have to wait for the equipment. I knew that after about a month the new faces I saw with so much hope and excitement would only disappear into a distant memory. I would soon again see all the gym “regulars” along with myself back doing our thing.
Usually after a month most of the “new” members are long gone. A lot of it has to do with not having a plan in place and not really having that motivation or resolve to get it done. "Studies show that people who resolve to change behaviors do much better than non-resolvers who have the same habits that need to be changed," says University of Scranton psychologist John Norcross, author of http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/features/new-years-resolutions-1-month-later.
Your setting is also important. A smaller boutique club that caters to your needs is a good choice as a starting point. The smaller clubs typically have a higher cost, but due to better engagement, you'll use them more than 100 times a year, it becomes a home away from home, and you'll meet new people because it's more intimate. There may be other reasons but making that change now and not continually putting it off is key. Resolve to the change now and you will become that gym “regular” and not the face that will only disappear to distant memory at the gym. Let Fit Therapy be your own personal gym where your fitness expert or myself will guide you on transforming and building a healthier you!

The point about not waiting until the New Year to get fit really stood out to me. People often delay healthy habits because they are waiting for the perfect time to start. During a particularly busy term, I turned to College Assignment help UK while trying to create a better balance between studying and looking after my health. Small actions taken today often lead to bigger results than plans postponed for later.
